What does SPM Maths cover?
SPM Mathematics covers quadratic functions, indices and logarithms, coordinate geometry, simultaneous equations, inequalities, trigonometry, lines and planes in 3D, vectors, matrices and statistics in Forms 4 and 5.
What is the difference between SPM Maths and SPM Add Maths?
SPM Mathematics is the core maths paper — compulsory for all SPM students. SPM Additional Mathematics is an elective covering calculus, integration, further trigonometry, linear programming and vectors at a higher level. Add Maths is required for A-Level/STPM science and engineering streams.
What grade do I need in SPM Maths for A-Level entry?
Most Malaysian private colleges require a minimum of Gred B (Credit) in SPM Maths for A-Level sciences entry. Competitive programmes prefer Grade A. IGCSE pathways similarly expect strong performance in Maths.
How many sessions per week for SPM Maths?
