What is in SPM Bahasa Melayu Kertas 1?
Kertas 1 has two sections: Section A is a format essay (surat rasmi, laporan, ucapan, artikel) and Section B is a non-format essay (narrative, descriptive or argumentative). Both are marked on content, language and format.
How important is Bahasa Melayu in SPM for university?
A minimum of Band 2 or grade C in BM is required to pass SPM. Most scholarship programmes require at least an A-. It is a compulsory pass subject for entry to Malaysian public universities.
