Which AP Science is most useful for medical school applications?
AP Chemistry and AP Biology are most directly relevant for pre-medical tracks. AP Biology covers cell biology, genetics, evolution and ecology at university introductory level. AP Chemistry covers stoichiometry, equilibrium, kinetics and thermodynamics. Strong scores in both strengthen science-focused university applications significantly.
What is AP Physics C and how is it different from AP Physics 1?
AP Physics 1 is algebra-based and covers mechanics, waves and electricity. AP Physics C uses calculus and covers Mechanics (Kinematics, Newton's Laws, Energy, Rotation) and Electricity & Magnetism as two separate exams. Physics C is more advanced and better preparation for engineering degrees.
Is AP Statistics useful alongside AP Calculus?
Yes — AP Statistics covers data collection, probability, inference and regression. It complements calculus and is increasingly valued by social science, economics and business programmes. It is also useful if you're taking IB Maths AI alongside AP subjects.
